IST Display

The site interprets selected civil dates in Asia/Kolkata and displays results in Indian Standard Time (UTC+05:30). Visiting the page from another country does not silently convert the timing cards into the visitor’s local time zone.

City-Centre Reference Coordinates

Each supported city has one stored reference coordinate. That makes calculations repeatable, but it does not represent every point inside a large metropolitan area. A person near the edge of a city or in a neighbouring town may have a slightly different local solar time.

Nearest-Minute Rounding

The calculation keeps more precise timestamps internally and rounds displayed clock times to the nearest minute. Two sources can use similar underlying results but display adjacent minutes because of different rounding choices.

Other Sources Can Use Different Conventions

Differences can also come from sunrise definitions, refraction assumptions, elevation, ayanamsa treatment, nakshatra boundaries or traditional rules for a category. For a meaningful comparison, compare the method as well as the final clock label.

When Exact Timing Matters

Use this tool as a transparent reference. If a ceremony depends on a particular local tradition, verify the intended location and convention with a trusted local Panchang or qualified practitioner.
